Third Pandaw Ship Arrives in India, Will Sail the Ganges

Pandaw has announced that yesterday the RV Kindat Pandaw arrived in India after safely crossing over the Bay of Bengal from Burma. The Kindat joins her sisters the Kalaw and Katha, making it three Pandaw ships sailing in India.

Pandaw is offering seven nights on the Lower Ganges exploring the cultural treasures of West Bengal and a 14-night Upper Ganges voyage to Varanasi, taking in the sacred Buddhist sites of Bodh Gaya. Note: As most departures are now full or nearly full, the Kindat will offer additional departures at busy times.

Like her sister ships, the Kindat is a K Class ship, which, due to their shallow draft, can make it all the way up to Varanasi throughout the sailing season, and with only two decks, can get under low bridges during monsoon season. The Kindat has 18 accommodations (eight on the upper deck and 10 on the main), each totaling 170 square feet and kitted out with spa-branded amenities, yoga mats, French windows and more.

Pandaw says it found with the experimental Katha that about half of the passengers want to eat outside and the other half inside, so Kindat has a flexible bistro space offering passenger indoor or outdoor dining. The ship also has a selection of quality mountain bikes for guests to explore on their own.
