It's almost time to welcome the first of Crystal's river ships. Crystal River Cruises has named Elisabeth Gürtler as the godmother of its first ship, the Crystal Mozart. The new ship will be christened in a July 11 ceremony in Vienna.
Gürtler is the managing director of a famous Vienna hotel, the Hotel Sacher. Previous Crystal godmothers have included Mary Tyler Moore (Crystal Harmony), Dame Angela Lansbury (Crystal Symphony), Dame Julie Andrews (Crystal Serenity) and Lady Gaenor Meakes (Crystal Esprit).
The new ship will embark on its inaugural voyage roundtrip from Vienna July 13, calling at Dürnstein, Melk, and Linz, Austria; an overnight in Passau, Germany; Bratislava, Slovakia; a second overnight in Budapest, Hungary; and ending with two nights back in Vienna.
