Each year, it happens around the beginning of March, and attracts travelers from around the world. It is the pool season in Las Vegas. Here, we take a look at the pools that will make you want to dive in, head first.
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
This resort’s 100-foot-long, private pool is surrounded by chaise lounges (natch!), a manicured landscape and there’s also a whirlpool. But we’re going straight for one of the eight cabanas, complete with comfy sofas and chairs, a ceiling fan and a 46-inch flat-screen TV. Did we mention the chilled towels and trays of fresh fruit? Plus, to keep up with the Las Vegas party scene, guests can arrange to have bottle service and food delivered to their cabana. For the ultimate experience, we suggest booking Cabana One. This large hangout can fit up to eight guests and is on the lower deck — right in the action. The best part is that this lounge area has the best view of the pool and waterfalls. We think a pool vacation isn’t complete at the Four Seasons without booking a stay in the Sunrise/Sunset Suite, which is all about the views, as it looks over the Red Rock Conservation Area and the mountain ranges. Best part? This suite was meant for two couples traveling together or a family of up to five, either way it will be a crowd pleaser after a long day in the sun.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Options here are the Bamboo Pool, Marquee Dayclub Pool and the Boulevard Pool which has views of the Vegas Strip and actually, has a stage for live music and other entertainment. Tip: Guests should indulge in shaved ice, Korean tacos, frozen drinks and chilled lagers while listening to that live music. Looking to host an extreme pool party? The Bamboo Pool, meanwhile, captures that western U.S. vibe, with a decidedly natural environment. There are rolling, grassy banks and covered walkways and generally fewer crowds. To go along with the earthy feel, there are two teakwood bars at either end of this pool. We suggest ordering a specialty cocktail to begin, and then as the sun goes down, order a champagne lollipop to toast the day. This pool can also be booked for private events, hosting up to 1,000 people.
For guests looking to splash around dancing, the Marquee Dayclub Pool is the place to be. This pool is an extension of the nightclub, and the built-in DJ stage will keep the tunes pumping and the two bars will keep the drinks flowing. Don’t let the party stop at the pool deck, book one of the three-level Bungalow Suites that overlook the Marquee pool. The suite includes opulent touches like custom-designed furniture, funky light fixtures, an indoor/outdoor kitchen and bar, and a terrace with plunge pool (because a personal pool is always in style).
