A New Private Yacht for The Peninsula Shanghai

The Peninsula Shanghai, yacht

The Peninsula Shanghai— located in a historic building across from The Bund— recently launched a luxury yacht for private cruises along the Huangpu River. If you’re looking for a unique setting for a cocktail reception, family dinner, sunrise breakfast, or business event, this is an enticing option. Worth RMB 15 million and measuring 54 feet, the Princess 54 is decorated in teak with The Peninsula’s signature colors and is stocked with the hotel brand’s signature amenities.

The onboard menu was created by the Peninsula chefs and includes items like vegetable summer rolls; tandoori-spiced turkey wrap with quinoa and minted yogurt; crab salad on brioche with shaved fennel, crème fraîche and lemon thyme; plus pastries and fruit.

Starting last fall, the Princess 54 began cruises for up to 10 guests. It passes along the Bund, the city’s legendary waterfront quay, and provides scenic views of the towering skyscrapers of Pudong. The yacht itself is moored at Dream Wharf, about 10 minutes away by car. For information about chartering the yacht, contact The Peninsula Shanghai’s concierge: (Tel: +86 (21) 2327 2888 ext. 6525; or email: [email protected]).
