Alessi Opens New Flagship Show Room in Milan

Alessi, flagship store in MilanDesign junkies won’t want to miss Alessi’s new flagship show room in Milan, a “shop resort” located in the “Quadrilatero della Moda” district. Renowned for their chic kitchen utensils and cool household wares, Alessi has established its reputation by transforming ordinary, everyday objects into high design. (Fabulous creations from celebrity designers include Richard Sapper's kettle and Philippe Starck’s citrus juicer called the Juicy Salif.)

Acclaimed Spanish artist Marti Guixé designed the space at via Manzoni 14-16 as “a complete experience of the Alessi world.” In highlighting the store’s launch party on June 9, 2011, The Globe and Mail says that “the entire range of Alessi products are on display over one brightly lit floor” (and) you can find the latest in the brand’s spring/summer line, which includes Karim Rashid’s Hellraiser collection of irregularly shaped, angular trays, citrus baskets and centrepieces.”
