Alila Jabal Akhdar: Oman's Latest Luxury Addition

Alila Jabal Akhdar, Oman

We’ve been keeping a careful eye on Oman as the country continues to develop its tourism sector. From Anantara to the Ritz-Carlton, new hotels are upping the luxury quotient in Oman, where pristine desert landscapes, a beautiful coastline, and impressive archeological sites make the Sultanate a destination to watch. The latest hotel chain to arrive on the scene is Singapore-based Alila Hotels and Resorts.

Next year will see the debut of Alila Jabal Akhdar, a luxury property perched on a cliff in the mountains famed for terraced gardens and dramatic gorges. Located two hours from the capital of Muscat, the hotel will have 86 rooms, a cliffside restaurant, a pool, and a spa offering treatments based on beauty remedies indigenous to the Jabal al Akhdar area.
