Announcing the World Shakespeare Festival 2012

Royal Shakespeare TheatreOne more reason why Britain is the place to be in 2012: the World Shakespeare Festival will be running from April - November 2012. A celebration of Shakespeare as the world's playwright, the Festival will be produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company in an unprecedented collaboration with leading UK and international arts organizations and with Globe to Globe.

What’s in store? Exhibitions, cultural events, and major new productions- including radical new interpretations of Shakespeare’s work by some of the top theatre companies in the world. Lucky visitors will be able to take in theatrical productions all across the U.K. Pre-scheduled locations include Stratford-upon-Avon, London, Newcastle/Gateshead, Wales and Scotland.
