Back in October, we reported that London’s historic landmark, Admiralty Arch, would morph into a luxury hotel after the government agreed to lease it out for £60 million. But we didn’t have details on exactly which luxury hotel brand would get the honors of operating it. This week, the news was leaked to The Daily Mail that Armani is close to clinching a deal for a £100million luxury hotel.
The fashion house has long sought real estate for a luxury hotel in the British capital, and this landmark site is coveted. The estimated cost to outfit 80-100 guest rooms with bespoke Armani furnishings is £600,000 each. Like the brand’s two other hotels in Dubai and Milan, the Armani London will have a sleek, contemporary vibe- with every aspect of its design- from the boutique selling Armani fashion to the restaurant menus- designed by Giorgio himself.
