Asia de Cuba Closing, Leaving Morgans Hotel

Bid farewell to a New York foodie stalwart. Asia de Cuba at The Morgans Hotel will close in October, claims Crain's New York. In May, Morgans Hotel bought out the remaining 50 percent of the company's interests from partner China Grill Management, which is owned by Jeffrey Chodorow, for $20 million. However, Chodorow will keep the the Asia de Cuba brand, which also has restaurants at other Morgan's hotels in Los Angeles and Miami. Word is another project wil go into he space where Asia de Cuba currently resides, but no one is commenting on what it will be. Stay tuned.
