The autumn season has brought a luxurious new address to Austin, Texas. Housed in the historic Goodall Wooten mansion—a city landmark complete with a neo-classical façade—the Hotel Ella has opened its doors after a multi-million dollar renovation. In classic Austin style, the house has a wrap-around verandah overlooking the manicured lawn. The 48 guest rooms including 10 suites, come with free wireless internet, “market style” mini bars, and sumptuous bed linens.
The restaurant, Goodall’s Kitchen & Bar, will open this fall. There’s a swimming pool with cabanas, and a fitness center equipped with cardio equipment and free weights. Spa services are available in-room. Note: Hotel Ella is pet-friendly, with dog bowls, beds, and in-room pet menus provided. In addition to leisure clients, the hotel hopes to attract weddings and corporate events.
