Belgraves, A Thompson Hotel, opened its doors to London’s Belgravia neighborhood today.
A joint venture with The Harilela Group, the hotel is the first UK opening from Thompson Hotels. We hear that Belgraves brings "a little New York attitude" along with traditional British hospitality to the Belgravia district.
Described as “rough luxury” by lead designer Tara Bernerd of Tara Bernerd & Partners, Belgraves has 85 rooms and suites, a bar, restaurant and lounge lobby. The bedrooms have silver-grey wooden floors throughout, and all rooms have palettes of natural grey tones and textures. Cool touch: Hues of aubergine (that's "eggplant" to us Yanks) on accent walls offer a colorful contrast.
On entering the hotel, guests are met by a large fireplace in an open loft-feel lobby with art installations. The lounge lobby also has a library and cozy hideaway areas. Hix Belgravia, an 80-seat restaurant offering a menu inspired by chef and food writer Mark Hix’s travels around the world. The mezzanine level has Mark’s Bar, the second of Hix’s bars, and a stylish cigar garden.
Belgraves, a Thompson Hotel is located at 20 Chesham Place in London.
