Berlin Hotel Offers Helicopter Tour Over City

Want a new way to see Germany's capital? Try this out: The Regent Berlin hotel has partnered with the Air Service Berlin to offer a new helicopter package.

The program, which gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a bird’s-eye-view of Germany’s capital city, marks the first time Regent Berlin and Air Service Berlin have partnered together.

Guests who book the helicopter package will be driven via limousine to the General Aviation Terminal at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, and from there, the Air Service Berlin will arrange for a Lincoln stretch limousine to take the passengers to the helicopter. Traveling over the heart of Berlin at 125 mph, guests will see the TV tower, Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz, Ku’damm and Victory Column before flying by Berlin’s Radio Tower and the Olympic Stadium.

After the helicopter tour, guests can relax in the Summer Lounge Orange at the Regent Berlin. The TeaMaster Gold will present a tailor-made afternoon tea service, accompanied by egg, cucumber and salmon sandwiches, scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry jam, raspberry tartlets and freshly baked goods.

The helicopter package includes two nights’ stay in one of Regent Berlin’s Superior rooms, à la carte breakfast; a 20-minute helicopter ride over Berlin (including take-off and landing time); personal flight certificate; transfer to and from Berlin Brandenburg Airport; and afternoon tea with egg, cucumber and salmon sandwiches, scones and raspberry tartlets.

The helicopter package is bookable from April 1 until October 31, Wednesday to Sunday according to the flight plan. Bookings have to be made one week before arrival. Call 011-49-30-20-33-6666 to make a reservation.
