Here's a name to remember when sending clients to Africa: &Beyond has named Gael Timms as Regional Director (Southern Africa) of Touring.
Timms has spent more than 35 years working with both tour operators and lodges. She helped establish Abercrombie & Kent’s DMC in South Africa. In 1986, she was transferred to A&K USA to manage the FIT and brochure touring divisions. Upon returning to South Africa, Timms worked for various companies, including World Leisure Holidays as Director of Operations.
Returning to A&K in 1997, Gael was general manager of A&K Southern Africa and added Sanctuary Retreats Botswana luxury lodge circuit to her portfolio. Most recently, Gael was the Regional Managing Director for A&K Southern Africa.
