Blanche van Berckel Named New GM of Hotel Amigo, Brussels

Hotel Amigo, Magritte Suite, Brussels

One of our favorite hotels in Brussels has a new General Manager. Rocco Forte’s Hotel Amigo—just steps away from the Grand Place—has announced Blanche van Berckel’s appointment as GM, starting in September. Home to a lovely Italian restaurant and the beloved Bar Amigo, the hotel has long been a favorite for visiting dignitaries and stars, its 174 guest rooms decorated with fun local touches (like Tintin pictures).

Blanche van Berckel has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality sector; prior to joining Rocco Forte Hotels she was a director at Fairquest Group, a hotel management consultancy, and also opened and managed Blakes Amsterdam. Previously she spent 10 years building her career at IHG and Golden Tulip Hotels.
