GHM (a legend in Southeast Asian luxury hotels) is upping its own luxury game, this time in Bali. We hear the luxury group is set to open its most expansive resort to date on the beaches of Tanjung Benoa at the end of this year.
The 261-room Chedi Sakala will be GHM’s third property on Bali, following The Legian Bali and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah. The resort will have 247 suites and 14 private one- and two-bedroom pool villas, as well as two swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club and lagoon bar. Good for families: A Kids’ Club will also be on property.

French foodies in the house? Next to the resort is Sakala Bali, a150-seat modern French fine dining restaurant. The restaurant is already in service and offers an outdoor tapas area with direct access to the beach.

Also on the horizon, AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is gearing up for the debut of its sister hotel, RIMBA Jimbaran Bali. We hear the resort will open in September with 297 rooms and suites, along with multi-tiered swimming pools and tree plantations. We are excited to see UNIQUE, a swank rooftop bar designed around a swimming pool. A Thermes Marins Spa will also be available and guests can enjoy the treatments at RIMBA’s six rooftop rooms, or at the 36 treatment rooms at the main Spa at AYANA. Looking to 2014, Ritz-Carlton will be bringing a new resort to the Indonesian island. There will be 288 rooms including 90 suites and 14 villas. The Ritz-Carlton Bali will also have a spa, a water sports pavilion and six restaurants and bars. We are most excited for the Cliffside restaurant where guests can enjoy a private dinner in a cave.
