Whiskey-philes in New York have a great reason to head to Brooklyn next weekend: City website Gothamist is reporting that the Brooklyn Oenology Winery in Williamsburg is hosting a tasting of whiskey, pickles and jerky—all locally-sourced for an authentic only-in-New-York vibe.
The tasting, which will be held on December 10 and 11, will feature whiskeys from Breuckelen Distilling Company, Finger Lakes Distilling, and King's County Distillery paired with pickles from McClure's, Brooklyn Brine, and Rick's Picks, and jerky from Field Jerky Co. (Specifically, we hear that Rick’s Pics Pickles will be paired with will be Kings County Bourbon Whiskey, McClure’s Pickles with Brooklyn Wheat Whiskey, and Brooklyn Brine Pickles with McKenzie Rye Whiskey.)
