Me Ibiza

The Spanish isle of Ibiza-- a favorite summer hang-out for the jetset crowd-- will see some notable new hotel openings this summer. We’ve had our eye on the ME Ibiza, slated to open in June, because of the rooftop beach club with 360º views and the pool with Bali beds. Right on the beach, the hotel has direct boat access to the bay. There will be 179 bedrooms and 26 suites designed in a contemporary, minimalist style overlooking the Mediterranean or the adjacent Nikki Beach Club. Perks include an in-room bar experience, customized mood lighting, rain showers, and Apivita bath products.

Note that suite guests are privy to the ME+ Suite service; think unpacking, pre-selected music on your stereo system, welcome amenities, and 24-hour attention from your own personal “Aura Manager.” Some of the 21 ME+ suites come with private terraces and jacuzzis. There will also be a rooftop spa for massages with a view.

Also opening soon: Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will debut on Playa d’en Bossa in May with an open-air stage for concerts by international music stars.

Last but not least: Hacienda Na Xamena will reopen this summer on the island’s northern cliffs after a chic makeover. The first Ibiza hotel to become a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Hacienda will offer a private fleet of boats for its guests this season. (Tip: reserve a ride on the glass bottomed Quer 42 XL to ogle marine life on your cruise.)
