The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel Opens in Edinburgh

Big news for spa fans in Edinburgh: The recently re-launched The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel has opened, and will soon have the UK’s first Guerlain Spa in winter of this year. We hear the spa will have three treatment rooms, and that every session will begin with a systematic analysis and precise skin diagnosis from the team. Guests will also be encouraged to begin their treatments with a foot bath to help them unwind.

Treatments will, of course, use Guerlain products and will include signature and personalized facial and body treatments, as well as body sublimation, makeup sessions and "harmonizing experiences" such as reflexology, Chinese massage and aesthetic drainage.

Nice touch: When the treatment finally comes to an end, beauty therapists will offer a touch of color, so guests don't need to face the world without a properly made-up face!

Specially designed ‘Guerlain Cures’ like the Orchidée Impériale, will be the focal point of the menu. The treatment sounds lovely: Following a Orchidée Impériale firming massage, which will stimulate muscles and redefine facial contours, guest’s skin gets three different masks correcting all signs of aging.)

Half and full-day spa experiences are also available, with specialized packages including the ‘Bridal Glow’ and ‘Prenatal Pampering.’ And in honor of the Edinburgh opening, Guerlain has designed an exclusive body massage, the ‘Edinburgh Caledonian Chic.’

Alongside the  treatments offered at the Guerlain Spa, guests wishing to simply relax will have the opportunity to take a dip in the swimming pool or unwind in the spa’s sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi.
