Celebrate Regional Flavors in Vi’s Summer Dining Program

This summer, the culinary team at Vi is celebrating the Taste of Vi, serving up the best in regional flavors with recipes from all 10 Vi communities.

The Taste of Vi, which runs through August, features small plates with seasonal ingredients that highlight the creativity of the Vi dining program. Each week for 10 weeks, the executive chefs and dining directors at each community will feature a new menu developed by the culinary teams at another Vi community.

According to John Vogelmeier, Vi's assistant vice president of food and beverage, initiating the program was a natural extension of Vi's mission to provide refined services and amenities to residents, as well as promote successful aging and whole-person wellness.

The Taste of Vi menus are built around many small plates which is a very popular trend in dining right now.

The most talked-about dish so far has been the Summer Watermelon Gazpacho, which was developed by the team at Vi at Silverstone.

The Vi at Bentley Village executive chef is Ed Padden.
