DC Luxury Hotels Prep for Presidential Inauguration

The Republican National Convention hasn’t finished yet, and the Democratic Convention is days away…let alone Election Day. But that hasn’t stopped Washington D.C. hotels from primping with packages to entice politically minded guests to bunk down for the Presidential Inauguration in January. Politico has been keeping tabs on a lot of the breathtakingly extravagant packages, often slated for Presidential Suites in the capital’s top luxury hotels.

The Park Hyatt, for example, is marketing an all-inclusive rate of $57,000 for its Presidential Suite from January 18 to January 22, 2013 that comes with perks like a bath butler, wet bar, and the services of a Saks Fifth Avenue stylist to fill the closets with fashion suitable for all the inaugural balls. The W Hotel is renting out its famous rooftop bar, and the Four Seasons—in the midst of picking out the perfect in-room amenity for Inauguration guests—requires a minimum five-night stay with prices starting at $1,095 per night.
