Dining in Napa: Lucy Restaurant Opens at Bardessono in Yountville

There’s a new foodie address in Yountville. Lucy Restaurant & Bar opened at the end of February as the signature restaurant at Bardessono, the only LEED Platinum Certified hotel in California. The resort closed down its eponymous restaurant in October for a complete revamp. The concept was also overhauled, though chef Victor Scargle is still holding the reins. “Lucy” was named for the Bardessono’s family matriarch, and the hotel’s website describes it as offering “ingredient driven, farm, ocean, field-to-fork cuisine that embodies the Bardessono modern aesthetic and eco-spirit."

There’s an on-site garden just steps from the kitchen where produce is sourced. Other products are plucked from Napa’s top biodynamic gardens (like Ubuntu, Peter Jacobsen). Daily Candy has the skinny on the seasonal dishes divided into three categories: “garden (freshly dug carrot salad), ocean (crispy-skin black bass with vegetables a la grecque), and range (Broken Arrow Ranch antelope with herbed farro, rainbow chard, and bacon-roasted Brussels sprouts).” Open daily from 7 am to 10 pm, Lucy Restaurant & Bar is located at 6526 Yount Street between Humboldt & Washington Streets in Yountville.
