Just in time for the Caribbean high season, Eden Rock—the Oetker Collection’s iconic resort in St. Barths—has opened a swanky new signature suite. Named for “the island’s founder,” the Christopher Columbus Suite is situated in the main house with sweeping views over St Jean Bay. Stand-out features of this one-bedroom suite include the spa-like bathroom finished in Carrara marble, the fully-stocked cocktail bar, and the outdoor terraces sprawling across 2,200 square feet.
Designed with oak floors, the suite is decorated in a contemporary style with bespoke designer furniture and modern art. We like the sound of the “oversized and utterly decadent” bed. There’s also a walk-in dressing room, top-notch entertainment system, and a private dining room set up on the air-conditioned private terrace. Traveling with an entourage of family and friends? Note that the Christopher Columbus Suite can be connected, via outdoor terraces, to the Howard Hughes Loft and the Garbo & De Haenen suites.
