Fairmont Readies for First Foray into India

We just got the buzz that Fairmont is poised to open its first property in India. Slated to open on August 9, Faimont Jaipur will offer 255 guestrooms and suites. Cool touch: We hear that the bathrooms feature glazed sliding door panels, each decked out with patterned screens.

The hotel features a number of restaurants and bars, including Zarin, serving Indian cuisine; Zoya for all-day international dining; the tea lounge Anjum (try the teas infused with basil); Aza, the regency style library bar serving up wines, cocktails and malt whisky; and the Cigar Diwan, a smoking room with a distinguished, gentlemanly flair.
