Are you always looking for ways to get kids excited about sightseeing in a new city? Majestic Hotel & Spa, Barcelona has just released the new “Barcelona by Scooter” program that will get them pumped for a day of cathedral gazing, museum hopping and more in Barcelona. Families as well as other guests can explore the iconic Spanish city at their own pace while riding non-motorized scooters. The program comes with different sized versions, including a small one with three wheels, small two-wheelers and an adult-sized model. Before each trip, guests will be provided a backpack filled with water and snacks, along with a preloaded iPad that has been uploaded with a city map plus an app that curates specific themed itineraries, including culinary- and culture-focused rides. For added convenience, the scooters fold, making it easy to carry them into restaurants and historical sites. The fee for renting the scooters is 50 Euros, but Penthouse Suite guests have complimentary access.

Out of the 275 rooms at the Majestic, there are a total of six penthouses with three categories. The Penthouse Paseo de Gracia — of which there are four — has 1,077 square feet of space with a private terrace. Penthouse Sagrada Familia is a crowd-pleaser; this 1,184-square-foot suite has a private Jacuzzi. And for maximum space, we suggest booking the Suite-Penthouse Antonio Machado. This suite has 1,597 square feet of space and also includes a private terrace. All penthouse accommodations include a private check-in experience and 24/7 butler service. Added Touch: Penthouse guests traveling with children will get Bulgari animal-shaped soaps in the bathroom.
Need another activity for the little ones? Do they enjoy the beach? Families traveling before August 31 can take a relaxing day trip to the shore with a private transfer service to Beach Club Tropical – Gava Mar (one of the top, private clubs in the area). Once there, guests can enjoy a soft-sandy beach with top service. Just a 20-minute drive from the hotel, this service is also included with all penthouse bookings.
