Farm-to-Table Menu Unveiled at Jamaican Resort

fruits and veggiesRound Tree Hotel and Villas, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, adds a sense of intimacy to traditional Caribbean cuisine with their organic, farm-to-table menu and new “See, Touch, Taste” culinary program. 
 
Round Tree takes a classical approach to luxury, privileging simplicity over glam.  Chef Martin Maginley’s recently re-vamped menu at Round Tree’s Grill Restaurant is built upon this principal, with produce and herbs grown in an on-property organic garden, and meat, poultry, and fish sourced from local farms and waters.  Dishes are prepared with little garnish or sauce to showcase the natural flavors of the ingredients, and highlights include Chigwell Farms Jerked Chicken, Guava Glazed Slow Roasted Rosemary Pork Loin, and homemade Scotch Bonnet Ice Cream.
 
Chef Maginley also pioneered the new “See, Touch, Taste” culinary program, designed to give guests a personalized interaction with both their food and the resident culinary masters.  Guests are invited to select produce from the garden by hand, then watch and learn while it is privately prepared for them by a personal chef.
