The fashion gods have selected a new Mount Olympus. The New York Post is reporting that London has overtaken New York as the fashion capital of the world in 2011. Why? Fashionistas can thank Kate Middleton and the late Alexander McQueen.
Bekka Payack, fashion correspondent for the Global Language Monitor told the Post, "We are seeing what the impact of two genuine media stars - Princess Kate and Alexander McQueen - can have upon a global ranking. Our numbers show that it was their presence that tipped the victory to London over New York."
Global Language Monitor, a Texas-based media analytics company, was responsible for generating the findings.
