Foodie Buzz: Shake Shack Opens in Brooklyn

Burger artist Danny Meyer has opened the latest incarnation of his Shake Shack today, December 20 in downtown Brooklyn, Gothamist reports.

The new eatery serves gourmet shakes, called “Concretes,” that are designed to showcase the unique aspects of Brooklyn. The “Fudge-eddaboutit” uses local chocolate from Mast Bros. paired with cinnamon fudge sauce and chocolate custard, while the “Borough Precedent” (a nod to Brooklyn Borough Prez Marty Markowitz) mixes Early Bird granola with seasonal fruit and vanilla custard.

Burgers include the Shack’s signature “Shack and ‘Shroom Burgers,” and a new “Mutt Menu” allows diners to pick and choose the toppings on their hot dog.

The new location is at 409 Fulton Street between Willoughby and Adams.
