Foodie Buzz: Upscale Restaurants Offer Kosher-for-Passover Menus

Passover is in full swing, and right about now, those observing the holiday's dietary restrictions are probably getting good and tired of brisket and matzoh.

Fortunately for those in New York, there is no shortage of unique eateries that make kosher trendy. One of the most recent options is Ladino Tapas Bar & Grill, which serves up a nice mix of traditional and contemporary Spanish bites (think ceviches and croquetas) and a full bar, all certified kosher. The restaurant even has a dedicated Passover menu for the next few days, so even the most observant can have a fun and funky dinner. 940 Eighth Avenue (At Columbus Circle, 56th St.)

In the Theater District, Clubhouse Cafe is a high-end kosher eatery with classic comfort foods like French dip prime rib, chili and southern-fried chicken. (155 West 46th Street, between 6th & 7th Ave) And right next door is Les Marais, a super-swank French steak house with just about everything one would expect from a brasserie (minus the moules frites, of course). From steak au poivre to entrecote to boeuf bourguignon, guests here don't need to feel that they're missing out on anything during the holidays. Both restaurants are open for Passover.
