Four Seasons Lanai Adds Sous Chefs to Culinary Team

Heads up for foodies in Hawaii: The Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay has added two new members to its culinary team with the recent addition of Dario Montelvere and Garrison Price as sous chefs.

Chef Price joins Four Seasons from The Nines Hotel in Portland, Oregon, where he served in various capacities since opening the property in 2008. Prior to that, he held numerous positions over the course of four years, including chef de partie and banquets sous chef at The Peninsula Chicago. His early career years were spent at Café Patou in Rockford, Illinois and C Lazy U Ranch in Granby, Colorado. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Price studied at Eastern Washington University and Rock Valley Community College, is an active philanthropist and enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking and marathon training.

Raised in Australia, Montelvere, a native of Rosario, Argentina, rejoins Four Seasons from the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, where he held the position of banquet chef. He previously served as banquet chef in various positions including banquet sous chef at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. His culinary career began with internships at Zest Catering and Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, prior to signing on at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto as lead banquet cook. Chef Montelvere earned his Bachelor of Design & Technology from the University of Western Sydney Macarthur, and his Western Cooking Certificate III from the North Western Institute of TAFE in West Ryde, Sydney. Dario enjoys travel, dining out, playing basketball, cricket and bowling with his wife.
