Four Seasons to Open Hotel in Central Madrid?

Could it be true? Andrew Harper’s blog has tipped us off that Four Seasons might be landing in downtown Madrid. Word on the street is that the hotel will be located in choice digs just steps away from the Puerta del Sol. Formerly the headquarters of Banesto, the building will contain a shopping mall, high-end apartments, and the 220-room luxury hotel which will be the cornerstone of the 500 million euro project.

According to Hispanidad, negotiations are still ongoing, but the deal looks promising. This would be the first Four Seasons-managed hotel in Spain.
