From Rabat to Marrakech- Ritz-Carlton’s New Morocco Hotels

Jenan Amar Polo MarrakechRitz-Carlton is taking North Africa by storm. Hot on the heels of the recent Rabat resort announcement, Ritz-Carlton has delighted fans with news of a new Marrakech hotel, to boot. Next to the Jenan Amar Polo Fields, the property is the fourth in the pipeline in North Africa after Tunis, the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve on the Mediterranean coast near Tangiers, and Rabat (see our recent coverage of the Rabat resort here).

To be constructed like a desert fortress, the Ritz-Carlton Marrakech will see its groundbreaking at the end of 2013 with an expected completion date of fall 2016. What’s on tap? 60 hotel suites and 20 villas; a wide selection of bars and restaurants; a luxury spa; and polo, of course. This is the first polo retreat in North Africa.
