We are all for locally sourced, which is why we love Montage Laguna Beach's brand new Studio Garden (think 1,000-square-foot garden overflowing with seasonal herbs, fruits and vegetables).
We hear that the garden, an extension of signature restaurant Studio, will provide lettuces, tomatoes, pull beans, strawberries, blackberries and more for the restaurant to use in their recipes.
The dish: Executive Chef Craig Strong will use fruits, vegetables and herbs from the garden to concoct signature dishes such as mint crusted lamb and a lavender blackberry tart. Guests can also sample the fresh ingredients in the restaurant's seasonal cocktails. (Tip: Try the Studio Garden Cocktail which includes cucumber, basil, tarragon, key lime, cachaca, St. Germaine liquor and Brut champagne.) Additionally, spa director Julie Raistrick will work closely with Chef Strong to pick ingredients to enhance her spa treatments.
