Kempinski Hotels has named Kristen Albert ([email protected]) global director of leisure sales. She will be responsible for leisure travel sales in North America. Prior to joining Kempinski, Albert was director of luxury sales for The St. Regis New York. She also held leisure sales positions at Rosewood Hotels and Ritz-Carlton Hotels.


VisitBritain and Emirates have launched a jointly funded tourism marketing campaign: “Britain. A Tradition of Luxury.” The campaign is being launched in China, India, UAE and Singapore, and is aimed at affluent international travelers between the ages of 35 and 55. Britain is looking to promote its unique luxury offerings, such as hotels in London and golf in Scotland.


The Gramercy Park Hotel in New York has introduced a unique GDS code. The hotel will be available to book under the “GN” designation and will no longer be visible under its former “IS” code. The hotel participates in Sabre, Amadeus Galileo/Apollo, and Worldspan GDSs. The specific codes are: Sabre (73652); Amadeus (NYCGPH); Galileo/Apollo (11299); Worldspan (NYCGP).
