Hot in Miami: The Setai’s Newly Renovated Pools

The Setai

If you’re looking to escape the polar vortex and get your fix of Miami heat, The Setai’s swimming pools are the place to be. Newly renovated for Florida’s high season, The Setai inaugurated the pools with a Buddhist blessing ceremony in December. The Art Deco landmark in South Beach has long attracted the international jetset (hello Madonna!) to its sparkling turquoise pools which stretch through the gardens, leading to the Atlantic Ocean, but the new redo is buzzworthy.

As a result of the makeover, the three infinity pools are decorated with recycled Spanish glass mosaic tiles and Italian travertine. Each is set to a different temperature, and service includes towels, water and magazines brought to your daybed. (Poolside spa treatments are also available.) Doing laps? You can listen to your own music through the underwater speakers by plugging in your smart phone. Note that the Pool & Beach Bar is still undergoing a makeover (until February 15, 2014).
