Come September, a stylish new hotel will open in Beirut. The Lebanese capital is already home to some seriously swanky hotels, like the Four Seasons (with its rooftop pool overlooking the Mediterranean) and Le Gray (from the folks behind Carlisle Bay in Antigua).
O Monot-- part of the Small Luxury Hotels portfolio-- is also likely to lure the international jetset. Housed in a restored building in the the Saifi cultural area, the hotel has 41 guest rooms decorated in a contemporary style with a white-on-white palette, designer furniture, and mood lighting.
The icing on the cake will be the rooftop pool and terrace bar with sweeping panoramas over the city. There will also be a gourmet restaurant, with tipples served from the well-stocked wine cellar.
