Fairmont is already well-known in China for the revamp of the iconic Peace Hotel in Shanghai, but we hear the luxury company is in position to make another Eastern foray.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of a new China property, the Fairmont Nanjing, which is slated to debut in late 2012.
The 371-room property will sit in Hexi New Town, a blossoming commercial district, and will be part of the JinAo Plaza, a development featuring a 56-story building housing the hotel and office space, along with retail and residential offerings.
The luxe hotel will offer restaurants and bars as well as the 19,375-square-foot Willow Stream Spa, pool and fitness facilities. Meeting space will weigh in at 26,900 square feet.
Other Asia Fairmont properties include the Fairmont Beijing; Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, Kunshan; Fairmont Haitang Bay Resort, Sanya (coming in 2013); and Fairmont Singapore and Fairmont Makati, Manila, Philippines (also coming in 2012).
