Hotel Buzz: Sol Meliá Raises the Bar on Exotic

Looking for the next wave of exotic? We hear that Sol Meliá will be opening a five-star resort on Tanzania's "Spice Island" of Zanzibar.

Meliá Zamzibar will open in August, taking over the former Zamani Kempinski property. It will offer 100 rooms and seven villas. We hear that the villas will each have their own private pool, solarium, living room, kitchen and butler service.

The property will include a spa, beauty and fitness center, outdoor sports facilities, two restaurants, three bars and a Beach Club.
