Hotel Buzz: Thailand Welcomes Newest Beachfront Villas

Chic seekers ought to consider a trip Khao Lak, Thailand, a stretch of beach just one-hour from Phuket International Airport. Why? We hear the Casa de la Flora hotel has just unveiled its 36 contemporary villas, tiered back from the coastline.

Villas offer private pools, gardens, terraces and sea views. We love the 24-hour host service, as well. Cool touch: The property has an on-site 'Dream Maker' who is on hand to individually tailor experiences to fulfill guests' wishes (think romantic dinners on the beach to helping guests surprise their partners on a special day).

The 10 Beachfront Villas each have a private outdoor dining area with infinity pool, decking area and small gardens.

We also love the 11 Duplex Grand Pool Villas and eight Duplex Pool Suites, which are perfect for larger groups. These have two floors, all with private pools on the ground floor. There are also five Studio Pool Villas.

Top touch: The Casa Pool Suite and Presidential Suite take the cake at this resort. Both offer ocean views. The Casa Pool Suite has an outdoor pool on the veranda, while the Presidential Suite (which will debut in June) has a large outdoor pool, one large bedroom and contemporary artwork.

The resort is also home to the La Aranya restaurant, just steps from the beach, which serves up Thai and international cuisine. A spa is also available with four treatment rooms.
