Hotel Byblos Saint Tropez to Open New Ducasse Restaurant

Hotel Byblos Saint TropezThings are heating up in Saint Tropez ahead of the Riviera’s hot summer season. The Hotel de Paris recently opened in Saint Tropez (ooh lala!) and now the Hotel Byblos, a favorite rendez-vous spot for the international jetset, has announced a new restaurant by celebrated chef Alain Ducasse, which will debut when the hotel opens for the season on April 17, 2013.

Rivea replaces Spoon, another Ducasse restaurant concept, and will showcase Mediterranean cuisine prepared with the freshest local produce. Expect shared appetizers like caponata, rock octopus salad, sardines confit in basil, chick pea and sheep curd soup and vitello tonnato; plus home-made pastas, vegetable cocottes, and seafood.

The eatery was given a fabulous new look by Italian design duo Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, who scored a slam dunk with their interiors for the Bulgari Hotel London. (See our review here.) For more information, visit www.byblos.com.
