The Mandarin Oriental hotel has unveiled a new “Discover Bangkok” package for time-starved visitors who are keen to learn the secrets of the Thai capital. Along with two nights’ luxury accommodations, al fresco breakfast, BMW limousine airport transfers, and a lunch at the hotel’s Sala Rim Naam restaurant, the Mandarin has curated a slew of insider itineraries to choose from.

The “Artistic Journey” tours the city’s hottest, off-the-path art galleries; the “Floral Journey” comprises a private tour of Bangkok’s Flower Market, followed by a 90-minute floral design class; the “Master Chef Journey” includes a private cooking lesson at the hotel’s Thai Cooking School, the city’s oldest such school; the “Culinary Journey” involves a tour of a local market with Chef Vichit Mukura to select ingredients for dinner at Vichit’s Chef’s Table; while the “Cultural Journey” hits up Bangkok’s star attractions like the Temple of Dawn and Reclining Buddha. Most of these itineraries include a massage and dinner. Available until September 30, 2014.
