InterContinental Davos Opens Soon in Switzerland

InterContinental Davos

Just in time for the World Economic Forum in January, the new InterContinental Hotel Davos is slated to open its doors this month in Switzerland. Not only will the property add 216 guest rooms to the hotel inventory in Davos, but it’s also getting a lot of buzz because of its architectural design and focus on environmental sustainability, heated with 90 percent renewable energy. Inside the dome-shaped hotel, the ambience will reflect a modern, upscale alpine chalet.

There will be extensive conference facilities, three restaurants, two bars, and a full-service spa with 14 treatment rooms, a wet area, open-air pool, and a lounge overlooking the mountains. The top-floor restaurant, Studio Grigio, is expected to become a Davos destination. Located above Lake Davos at the foot of Fluela Pass, the InterContinental Davos also offers a sportswear shop, so that guests can equip themselves in-house with ski gear to hit the slopes.
