Jazz Buzz: Seth MacFarlane to Perform at New York's Highline Ballroom

Great news for jazz fans and lovers of Family Guy alike: Voice artist and animator Seth MacFarlane will stepping away from cartoons to present music from his 2012 Grammy-nominated recording Music Is Better Than Words in his Highline Ballroom debut on December 21. (Two days later, he will appear at the downtown Blue Note jazz club.)

The recording features lesser-known numbers from the 40s and 50s (think “It’s Easy To Remember,” “The Night They Invented Champagne” and “She’s Wonderful Too,” among others). At the Highline Ballroom, MacFarlane will be front a big band conducted by Emmy Award-winning composer, producer, arranger and conductor Joel McNeely.

Doors to the concert open at 6pm, and the show begins at 8pm. The Highline Ballroom is located at 431 W 16th St in New York. For tickets and information, click here.
