As seen with the Andaz Amsterdam and Mira Moon in Hong Kong, designer Marcel Wanders has a knack for decorating hotels. “The Lady Gaga of the design world” created serious buzz around these properties with dramatic, whimsical interiors drawing inspiration from their settings.

The latest for the design guru is the Kameha Grand Zurich, a business hotel with 245 rooms and suites which will open in Spring 2015 in Switzerland. The official website praises the “unconventional interior designer, whose positive energy comes alive in impressive new compositions of shapes and colors.” In the guest rooms, Wanders highlights Switzerland as a producer of “both the best chocolate and the best investors” with fun bathroom design; the partition wall looks like a bar of chocolate while the handle resembles a bank safe.

Other facilities will include an event hall, a convention centre, a fully-equipped fitness center and a spa. The restaurants and bar look like they’ll be a hit in Zurich; there will also be a Smoker’s Lounge offering a connoisseur’s selection of Cuban cigars.
