Come February 2013, Karl Lagerfeld will open the doors to his very own concept store at 194 Boulevard Saint-Germain on the Left Bank. As reported by Women’s Wear Daily, the two-floor boutique will showcase “the world of Karl”—hence a mélange of the designer’s favorite fashion, plus, as New York Magazine puts it, “a selection of nice things he picked out himself” (ie art books and special accessories).
Expect a graphic design aesthetic in the store: a black and white palette with mirrors and backlit walls. For fashion-lovers on a shopping spree in the hallowed streets of Saint-Germain, you’ll find Lagerfeld’s signature brand headquarters just around the corner on Rue Saint-Guillaume.
