There’s a new luxury hotel on the block in France’s vibrant southwestern city of Toulouse. La Cour des Consuls debuted this September as a member of Accor’s MGallery Collection. Just steps from the Capitole, this five-star hotel occupies two centuries-old mansions that are registered historic landmarks. Behind the red brick exterior—decorated with the original family’s coat of arms—the hotel is styled like a contemporary home with striking features (like the dining room’s enormous fireplace).
With just 32 guestrooms (including six suites and an apartment), La Cour des Consuls offers an intimate hotel experience. Every room is kitted out with a Nespresso machine, a minibar with free soft drinks, free Wi-Fi, and "Palace Treca" bedding. Facilities include a gourmet restaurant called Le Cénacle, a clubby British-style bar, two meeting rooms, and a four-room spa featuring beauty products by local brand Graine de Pastel. Buzz: Famed chef Jérôme Ryon created the restaurant menu.
