La Vache in Verbier- Celebrities Open Popular New Restaurant

La Vache VerbierThere’s a casual new eatery in the Swiss ski resort known for its high-octane glamour (and even higher prices). Called La Vache (“the cow”), the restaurant is already “the most popular restaurant on the mountain,” says The Telegraph, “and other establishments are considering cutting prices to match.” Situated at the top of the James Blunt ski lift, the restaurant was opened by three celebrities and passionate skiers (Lawrence Dallaglio, Carl Fogarty, and James Blunt, of course).

On the menu: soup, pizzas, stir-fries and burgers served in a cozy spot decorated with furs, antiques, and a new large stone fireplace. Not to mention the cows (pictured). The terrace has sun loungers for taking in the awesome panoramic views of the Val de Bagnes and Mont Gelé. At the private opening party in early December, celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal was on the scene; he created three different pizzas for the occasion, named after each of the owners.
