The blogosphere is atwitter with the news: Lenny Kravitz will be designing an exclusive bungalow and penthouse suite at the brand new SLS Hotel at South Beach! HotelChatter broke the story, describing designer Philippe Starck’s “man crush” on Lenny, praising him as: "a weapon of massive construction. He is an explosion of all talents, an unlimited boiling bucket of culture, a daily firework, a tireless explorer. Lenny is incredibly alive. Lenny is a friend."
Starck will in fact be decorating the SLS Hotel at South Beach, just as he created the wow-worthy interiors for the first SLS Hotel (in Beverly Hills). Slated to open in March 2012, the new hotel at 17th and Collins Avenue will be helmed by General Manager Albert Mertz, recently “plucked from the W South Beach.”
