Ascot is kicking off, and Zagat has suggested a fun way for visitors to London to get in on the racing fun at The Wellington Lounge inside the InterContinental on Park Lane.
From June 14-18, any guests arriving for afternoon tea at the Wellington Lounge wearing a fascinator or hat—top hats for the gentlemen of course—will be immediately upgraded from a traditional afternoon tea to a champagne tea. Better yet: The wearer of the most outrageous headgear over the four-day period will win a weekend stay in the hotel’s iconic Wellington suite with brunch and a spa treatment for two thrown in.
