London's Regent Street will Kick Off Christmas Celebrations in November

In November, Regent Street, one of London's top shopping areas, will be lit up by its traditional Christmas Lights. While the exact date has not yet been announced (we hear rumors it will be November 9), the event seems poised to be a top way to kick off the season: Last year, Kelly Clarkson and Matt Cardle entertained the crowd while actors Bill Nighy and Ashley Jensen helped turn on the lights.

After the lighting, shoppers will be able to walk the famous Mile of Style under a canopy of glittering lights and visit the exclusive flagship stores along Regent Street, including Omega, Ferrari, Armani Exchange, Anthropologie, Liberty, Apple and Michael Kors. (For the record, Regent Street, London W1 was the first shopping thoroughfare in Europe to have illuminated Christmas decorations.)

Visitors will also be also able to unwind and elaborates in one of the many restaurants and bars located within Regent Street, including the roof-top venue aqua. (After all, roof-top bars aren't just for summer!)
