Lonhea Alpine Clinic- A New Spa Destination in Switzerland

Lonhea Alpine ClinicThe Swiss Alps are home to some of the finest spas and wellbeing institutes in the world. La Prairie, for example, is known worldwide for its anti-ageing treatments and medical expertise. So spa junkies will be pleased to learn about a new destination spa that opened in Villars-sur-Ollon, 90 minutes from Geneva, this past summer. The focus at the Lonhea Alpine Clinic is not on invasive treatments, but the role of diet and exercise in promoting well-being and longevity. Evaluations with medical profesionals assess the client’s health objectives before creating a customized plan for a long-term lifestyle change.

Designed with wood and stone, the spa itself resembles a chalet overlooking the mountain peaks. Only nine patients are welcomed a week. Served next to the fireplace, meals feature locally-sourced ingredients and—as The Financial Times points out—come with red wine (for the health benefits, of course!) In addition to the spa, Les Fontaines de Pierre, the center has a fitness center by Technogym. For more information, visit www.lonhea.com
